PALEROMO: Second seed Carlos Moya of Spain became the first seeded player to be knocked out of the ATP tournament in Palermo. He went down in three sets to Argentina's David Nalbandian. Nalbandian outlasted the world's 20th-ranked star 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 in the first round match.
